L.I. To compare how food is produced in the Mediterranean and the UK.
in Class 3GC we worked in groups to compare and contrast the Mediterranean region/countries and the UK. The main Mediterranean country that we researched was Italy because of the range of food that is produced from this country.
When researching we looked at 4 main areas:
- food that is produced in both countries.
- how land is used in order to produce the food.
- temperatures / climate zones of each region.
- names of food that is produced and how.
5.6.23 - Year 3 looked at the effects deforestation is having in tropical biomes to enable more food to be produced.
We also thought about the pros and cons of deforestation for the land, the animals whose habitats are being lost and for the people who live in areas of high deforestation.
For our work, we created posters to highlight the importance of raising awareness of deforestation and how it is everyone's responsibility.
