As we finish our time at primary school, we are learning about significant women in history - all of us are significant and move on to Year 7 knowing we can all make a difference.
Crime and Punishment
We are now moving on to learn about Crime and Punishment from the Roman times to the Victorians!
We have learned so much about Africa and the Atlantic Slave Trade. We are now moving onto the geography of Africa so please see our geography page.
We carried out our own research on Harriet Tubman for our homework. Did you know she was known as “Moses”?
Group Work - Demonstrating our Knowledge
To gain a better understanding of what Africa was like in the past we looked at the Kingdoms of Benin, Mali and reminded ourselves about the Ancient Egyptians .
This half term we will be looking at the Atlantic Slave Trade. We will be considering the significance of sources - primary and secondary, the triangular trade route, the conditions enslaved people endured during the “middle passage”, the life of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad and finally begin to understand about modern day slavery.
