Uniform

At Marsh Green school uniform is compulsory. We pride ourselves on our smart appearance and we believe that this helps our children to have a pride in themselves and our school - helping to build positive attitudes to learning.

Items NOT permitted:

  • For health and safety reasons we do not allow children to wear jewellery to school, this includes earrings. if you are considering getting your child’s ears pierced, please wait until the beginning of the summer holiday so that the earrings can be removed when school starts in September.
  • Trainers (plain black) can only be worn for PE, your child must have black school shoes to wear each day.

Marsh Green Primary School Pre-Loved Uniform Shop. Good-quality pre-loved school uniform is available for £1 per item from 3.05–3.30pm in the main playground. The shop will also be open throughout Parents’ Evening on 23 and 24 September 2026. Other shop dates are 21 October and 14 December 2026, and 23 March, 5 May and 30 June 2027. Requests at other times can be emailed to mgpsuniform@marshgreen.bardaglea.org.uk. Please donate unwanted uniform by handing it to Mrs Kelly in the school office. Pre-loved uniform is good for families, our school and our planet.

Marsh Green Primary School Activity Day poster. All children wear the same activity kit: a plain white round-neck T-shirt with no buttons, black PE shorts worn underneath dark green jogging bottoms, and plain black trainers or plimsolls. Jewellery is not permitted. For indoor gymnastics, children wear their black PE shorts and white T-shirt. For outdoor sports, children wear their dark green jogging bottoms and white T-shirt. Children must wear their activity clothes on the following days: Monday – classes 1SM and 6NB; Tuesday – classes 2NB and 3MJ; Wednesday – class 5ES; Thursday – classes 2AC and 4SC; Friday – classes 1OG, 4TW and 6AA. When clubs begin, children taking part in a sports club must also wear their activity clothes on the day their club takes place.
