Science investigation.

Today we wanted to find out which material would be best to fix Mrs Piercy's umbrella. We had to find out which material was waterproof. The plastic and playdough were waterproof.

In science we have been learning about shadows. We carried out an investigation to see how the size and position of a shadow can change during the day.
We have been working hard in P.E. Watch our dance!

Science; looking at season and different weather types

Today we became smoothie designers. We made smoothies using different ingredients and evaluated the taste. Some children liked them all. Others were not so sure!

This week we celebrated Chinese New Year!

Our School Trip to Eastbury Manor House. We had a great day learning about old homes.

We went on a local walk to find different types of homes. 



In Science we are learning to name different materials and describe their properties.

Today we learned the names of different types of musical instruments and listened to the sounds they made. An amazing experience and performance! 

History - Another exciting visit! 

Today Mr Remmer came into class to show us his toys from a long time ago. He showed us the toys and then let us play with them. It was great fun!

Today we have been investigating absorbency. We had to find the most absorbent material for a pet bed.

Science: today we made homes for our imaginary pets.

In science we are making imaginary pets and learning how to care for them.

History -Toys from the Past

Today Mrs Lawton talked to the children about the toys she played with as a young girl. We looked at the toys and compared them with the toys we play with today. Then we played with them!

Today we are learning about the festival of Diwali. We have drawn Rangoli patterns.

In science we are learning about habitats. We created a habitat using logs, mud and leaves. I wonder what creatures we will find next week?

Science ; we are learning to name and identify parts of the body.

Geography; we are learning the importance of an address. The children created postcards and went for a trip to the postbox!
