Things you can practice at home. Complete one maths activity everyday:
- Monday - 'Sing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I caught a fish alive'. Write the number 1 and ask children to give you 1 fork. Put the fork away. Show the number 1 and ask your child to give you 1 shoe. Explain to children that the number '1' means that you can only put one object next that number.
- Tuesday - 'Sing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I caught a fish alive'. Write the number 2 and ask children to give you 2 forks. Put the forks away. Show the number 2 and ask your child to give you 2 shoes. Explain to children that the number '2' means that you can only put two objects next that number.
- Wednesday - 'Sing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I caught a fish alive'. Write the number 3 and ask children to give you 3 forks. Put the forks away. Show the number 3 and ask your child to give you 3 spoons. Explain to children that the number '3' means that you can only put three objects next that number.
- Thursday - 'Sing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I caught a fish alive'. Write the number 4 and ask children to give you 4 forks. Put the forks away. Show the number 4 and ask your child to give you 4 spoons. Explain to children that the number '4' means that you can only put Four objects next that number.
- Friday - 'Sing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I caught a fish alive'. Write the number 5 and ask children to give you 5 forks. Put the forks away. Show the number 5 and ask your child to give you 5 spoons. Explain to children that the number '5' means that you can only put five objects next that number.
