    This week in class we will be:
    • A Planet For Us All Watch this video in preparation for writing your letter to Sir David Attenborough
    • How to write a formal letter Use these tips to support you in writing your letter. Begin to plan your letter to Sir David Attenborough thanking him for the work he does and the difference he has made to our planet and our knowledge of the world around us.
    • Remembrance Day Look at the information provided. Write a speech explaining why war is not the answer. Look at speeches by Winston Churchill and the way he addresses his audience. A speech is to persuade so use your knowledge of persuasive language - just as you did last week in your letter to mankind.

    Friday 13th November 2020 is 'World Kindness Day' - your task is to create a poster or leaflet – to encourage kindness. You can write a poem, create a slogan, come up with a recipe for kindness and provide examples of how to be 'kind'. 

    Saturday 14th November is Diwali.   Read the information below to find out more about this special festival.  Think about why so many different religions use light for symbolism. Write down how light is used for Diwali.  Create your own Rangoli pattern at home.
