    Time openers 

    Time openers are words that help us to understand when something is happening. Words such as first, then, next, after and finally are all time openers. We usually use them at the beginning of an instruction.
     

    For example, 



    First
    put the toothpaste on the brush before brushing your teeth. 

     

    or

    Finally eat the delicious cupcake!
