Anglo Saxons, Picts and Scots

- Y4 discovered who these groups were, where they came from and where they settled. We researched information about their everyday life including what they did for entertainment. We enjoyed listening to the story  of Beowulf and even wrote our own Anglo Saxon riddles.

The Mayan Civilisation 

- After discovering where and when the remains of the Mayan civilisation was discovered, Y4 wrote diary entries as conquistadors. They completed timelines to show how the Mayan civilisation developed over time. We looked at the organisation of city states, Mayan religion (where we learned about human sacrifices), the Mayan calendar and finally we completed mind maps to show our learning in this unit.
