    The importance of instruction 5AC

Our challenge was to follow some instructions on ‘how to make a hang glider’ and ‘how to tie a reef knot’. After creating these, we looked at how the language helped guide and direct us through the instructions step by step. We were then able to use imperative (bossy) verbs and modal verbs (to express necessity) to write instructions for the rollercoasters we created.

    Squirrel activity centre 5AC

We received a letter from the squirrel preservation society who requested us to design an activity centre for the squirrels in the local area. We created some designs and discussed how this will be beneficial to both the squirrels and to people in the community.
