Welcome to Year 1!

We are very excited for this coming school year and have many wonderful topics to cover. Our first topic is 'All About Me' where we will share our likes and dislikes, families, homes, past experiences and pets. Later topics include: 'Africa', 'Once Upon a Time' and 'Man on the Moon'.

Year 1 expectations:

• Wear full uniform and school shoes – not trainers! Black trainers are ok on P.E. days.
• Activity day is Thursday- full PE kit needed (including black shorts under their joggers).
• Each child must bring in a named water bottle that is to be left in school (we will clean and refill them in school).
• Labels in all uniform and belongings.
• Reading books and diaries must come to school each day. Hear your child read 3 times a week and leave 3 comments in their diaries.
• Practise 2, 5 and 10 time tables.
• Practise phonics at your child's level.
