It's story time!

Today's story is a classic and one of our favourites... Goldilocks and The Three Bears. Watch the video and then see if you can answer the questions below. Watch and listen to the story carefully! 

1. How many bears are there?
2. What did Goldilocks find in the house first... porridge, chairs or beds?
3. Who did the middle sized chair belong to?
4. Where did the bears find Goldilocks asleep?
5. Who did the biggest bowl of porridge belong to?

     

Talk to your family members about the questions - how many can you answer? 

Other exciting things you could do relating to this story...

• Can you make some porridge at home and talk about it? Could you write sentences about what you did? What ingredients did you need?
• Can you make stick puppets and act out the story with your parents/carers?
• Talk about how the characters may have felt... How did baby bear feel when he found his chair broken? How may have Goldilocks felt when she woke up and saw three bears?
• Have a teddy bears picnic in the park, garden or even in your house!

What The Ladybird Heard

During this Summer term our topic would have been all about farms! Below is another story read by Miss Hill - What The Ladybird Heard by Julia Donaldson. This story is all about different animals who live on the farm. 

Can you listen to the story then talk to your family about it...

• What happened?
• Where was the story set?
• Who are the characters?
• Do you like the story? Why?

Have a go at filling in the book review below (as always, if you do not have access to a printer at home, please just write these sentences out in your exercise book or on any other paper)

Challenge:

Can you draw a picture of your favourite animal from the farm and label it's features correctly?

Can you write any facts to go with it? For example; 'A duck lays eggs' 'A cow is black and white' 'A baby pig is called a piglet' etc.

Tyrannosaurus Drip!

We love to rhyme!

Today's challenge is all about rhyming words!! These are words that sound the same.
