    Maths is Fun!

    Here are a range of activities the children in school will be completing, please send in photos of your child working at home so we can add them to the class page.  Please remember there are reading and maths activities on the ABACUS app too which all children have a password for.

    There will be one to one arithmetic revision for children too so they are prepared for Year 7.  Please revise your four operations and times tables too.  Remember, you all have your blue revision folders to look at to help you get ready for Year 7.

    All About Cubism

    In around 1907 two artists living in Paris called Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque developed a revolutionary new style of painting which transformed everyday objects, landscapes, and people into geometric shapes.   Using the information in the links provided (the words in red), create your own piece of art in the Cubism style.

    Like building blocks, tangrams can teach children about spatial relationships. They may help children  learn geometric terms, and develop stronger problem solving abilities.  Invented in China approximately 200 years ago, a tangram is a two-dimensional re-arrangement puzzle created by cutting a square into seven pieces -- seven geometric shapes called "tans".  Using the link below, what different images can you create using just seven pieces?
