Tuesday 14th July - English - To describe our favourite character
In this lesson, we will listen to the story of Supertato, by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. We will decide who our favourite characters are and justify our decisions. After the lesson, we will draw a picture of them and label their key features. You can extend this lesson by thinking of a sidekick for Supertato and designing them.
Tuesday 14th July - Maths - Dept of numbers within 20
In this lesson we will play another new game using knowledge of numbers to 10 and 20.

In this lesson, we learn about seasons. We think of the different features of each season and compare them. After the lesson, you can choose a way to represent each season through art, drama or writing. This lesson links to understanding the world, communication, and language and mathematics.

Tuesday 7th July 2020 - Lesson 2 - English - To describe how actions affect others
In this lesson, we will listen to the story of Beegu, by Alexis Deacon. We will think about who has shown Beegu kindness and who could have shown more kindness. We end the lesson by writing a message to Beegu to show her that she is welcome on Earth.

In this lesson we conduct an experiment to test materials to find out if they float or sink. Just like scientists, we make predictions and notice patterns. After the lesson, conduct your own experiment, thinking about the material, size and shape of the objects you choose. This lesson links to understanding the world, communication and language, and shape, space and measure.

Tuesday 30th June, Lesson 2 - English - Using the word 'because'
In this lesson, we will listen to the story of The Crocodile Who Didn’t Like Water, by Gemma Merino.
We will answer questions about the story, justifying our answers with the word ‘because’ to support our communication skills.
You can extend this lesson by researching dragons and considering how they differ from crocodiles.

In this lesson you will need some paper and pencils or paints. If you don't have those you can use your counting objects to double (e.g. sweets, eggs, biscuits, pegs etc.)

In this lesson, you will listen to the story of The Three Little Pigs. You will tell your teddy your favorite part of the story and draw a picture of it.
Tuesday 23rd June - Counting Placing Number Cards In Order
In today’s lesson we will practise counting objects in onto a 10 frame. Then we will put number cards 1-10 in order. Finally we will practise counting actions like last time. You can jump, skip, clap, march, hop or stomp while counting each movement. Don’t forget to join in!
