Mental Health Awareness
The theme for this years mental health awareness week was ‘nature and the environment’. We learned how we can use nature and the environment to improve our own mental health by providing practical tools that everyone can use to improve their mental health, and increase their resiliency regardless of their personal situation. We went out into the school yard to really connect with nature and took some time to reflect on our mental health.
Role play - School situations
We took part in some role play activities to help us understand each others feelings and emotions. We were provided with scenarios which could happen during the school day. It was our job to act out each situation, as a class we then discussed how different children might be feeling.
World Mental Health Day
For world mental health day we became superheroes! Our costumes were yellow (HELLO YELLOW) and our superpowers were based around acts of kindness. For example, having the power to make someone become instantly happy.
