2VB Autumn Reflections
Welcome to the children in Year 2. The summer holidays seem so far in the distance now, were we really off for 6 weeks? That goes so fast!
We have a really busy and important year ahead of us, a year that we all need to work really hard to make sure we achieve our personal potentials. We must remember that the most important thing is for your children to progress while working hard and having fun. That means that we must work as a team, parents, teachers and children. Please listen to them read and record a comment, help them to learn their spellings and their times tables. Their homework format has changed, your child has the homework sheet to show you and hopefully they will have fun doing the activities as well as learning while they do it. Learning is tiring, please help your children to learn by making sure they have enough sleep.
This term our topic is 'Worries and Fears'. This topic has many areas for us to explore and link to the National Curriculum in creative ways. We will be providing lots of exciting activities and experiences which will develop their imagination, promote language and in turn support writing activities.
