We had an amazing time in the glorious sunshine today displaying our Easter Bonnets. Much effort went into the designs. However, six winners were chosen from 4MJ for best overall bonnet:

In 4MJ we have been working hard in our English lessons. After learning the story of the Iron Man we decided to do our own version entitled 'The Iron Woman'. After planning our story ideas we began writing. To make our writing the best that it could be we self assessed as well as peer assessed our work. The final stage of our learning included publishing our work for display.

4MJ have been loving our topic ‘visitors from other shores’, particularly the history aspect about the Anglo Saxons. We’ve developed our chronology skills by creating a timeline of Anglo Saxon history (we needed to work collaboratively to do this). Furthermore, we are beginning to understand the legacy of the Anglo Saxons by researching UK place names that have Saxon origins. Check out our fab pictures that show a snapshot of some of what we have been doing this term.
