EYFS Reading club

This term the children have loved attending Reading Club. Each week, an adult provides them with additional 1:1 time, where they hear your child read. They learn how to read through fun, immersive games and activities! Take a look at all of the fantastic things that they have been doing.

We have been writing different tricky words! We played a game where we had to run to the word that Miss Colley read out!

The children practised reading words and sentences! They were incredible! Can you think of any words that have the sh digraph in?

We played musical phonics! We had to write a word and then find this on the chair! We had so much fun!

We worked together to read sentences. Miss Colley had jumbled these up! We had to put them back in order!

We were playing catch with real and nonsense words. Miss Colley threw us the ball and we had to read the word. We had to decide whether this word was real or nonsense. If it was real, we had to use it in a sentence! We are so good at reading!
