Learning intention: We are learning to recognise, name and begin to know properties of 3D shapes.
A recap of yesterday's shapes
Today we are learning how to describe 3D shapes. We describe shapes using properties (this means what qualities they have).
3D shapes have vertices, edges and surfaces. Look at the teacher example below to see which part of the shape matches each property.
Teacher example of a cube's properties (vertices, edges and surfaces).
Guess the shapes that the girls are describing. Draw a picture and write the name of each shape.
Remember to send them to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Guess Liepa's Shape......
Guess Jeylin's shape....
Guess Blessing's shape...
Make a list of each 3D shape and objects around your home.
Can you make your own list for cube, cuboid and cylinder?
