LI - To use expanded column method to add 2- and 3-digit numbers

This week, we will continue working on the expanded column method.

Year 2 (Group A) - Alice, Jey, Layla, Sana, Eliza, Leonardo, Caroline 

LI - To add 2-digit numbers using place-value cards (using partitioning) with totals more than 100

Partition 2-digit numbers into 10s and 1s

For example: 

54 + 23 = 

First partition the 10s 

50 + 20 = 70

Then the 1s 

4 + 3 = 7

Next add the answers together: 70 + 7 = 77
