Home Learning
Hello Year 5 and welcome to a refreshed version of our year group’s web page . We hope you are all still keeping safe and well and regularly washing your hands.
From now on, the webpage has been divided into sub-pages where you will find resources across the curriculum spectrum including; Maths, English (plus SPaG), Reading, Music and Art as well as many other videos, activities or creative ideas that we think you'd like to try at home.
During this period of self-isolation and easing of lockdown, the expectations of work to be completed at home is no different to the expectations that we would expect in school.
Mr Chin and I have included new sub-pages for you to check on a daily and weekly basis. These are the new ‘Daily Learning - Oak National Academy’ sub-page and a 'BBC Bitesize Learning' sub-page. In these two areas of the Home Learning Page you will find resources to be completed on a daily basis as well as the schedule for the week from Oak National Academy.
Each Monday, a new web link will be placed in the ‘Daily Learning - Oak National Academy’ sub-page and it will take you to the website of Oak National Academy where you can find the schedule for that week. It is expected that you will complete all lessons for each day just as you would be expected to when you're in school.
Don’t forget to ask your parents to send in pictures/videos of what you have been up to, or even a message from you. If they do not have twitter they can also send these to: parentenquiry@marshgreen.bardaglea.org.uk
It is also pleasing to see more of you logging on to Active Learn and Times Tables Rock Stars and getting involved with the activities that are on there; although it is not all of you.
You have all been doing really well with the work that you have been sending in so far and we both really enjoy looking at and seeing the wonderful work and creative things you are all doing at home. Please keep it up.
Hopefully we will all see each other soon, but until then keep trying hard and stay focused with the work that you are doing.
For now, keep trying your best. Stay safe and keep well.
Mr Cross and Mr Chin
